About JWR...

Jehovah's Witness Recovery is an online resource and meeting place for all those who have been affected by the organization known as the Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses. It's aim is to provide recovery support for those who have decided to leave the religion and find themselves isolated by former friends and family due to the Watchtower's policy on shunning ex members.

The intention is not to maliciously attack or criticize current, active members of the Watchtower organization but rather, to compassionately support members who are going through the exit process.

JWR was founded and is maintained by a small group of former Jehovah's Witnesses. We do not seek or obtain financial profit for running this site. We are not affiliated with any church or religious organization, nor do we promote any faith or belief of any kind. Our philosophy is one of care and concern for our fellow humans who find themselves isolated and alone after leaving the Watchtower. There are no membership fees required to access any information on this site; access is and will remain completely free.

We believe that the Watchtower is a dangerous organization that often causes irreperable harm to its members and former members. That is why we donate so much of our time and resources to provide support for those who have been negatively impacted by it. Our hope is that former members who find themselves alone and isolated will be able to find comfort in the sharing of their experiences, the compassion of other former members as well as access to a wealth of information on the Watchtower organization.
