JW Do Not Call List...

JWs know that the only way to stop a Jehovah's Witness from knocking on a door is by adding that address to their 'Do Not Call' list. Sadly the only way many non-JW's find out about this is by becoming irate and having the Witness at their door recommend it to them. The Do Not Call Campaign is designed to empower people and provide information about how to get on that list.

All an individual needs to do is to contact the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in their area (a simple phone book search will provide the information) and ask that their address be added to the 'Do Not Call' list.

The Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses does not provide any way for people to add their address to the list online. Currently, the only way to do so is by phoning the local Kingdom Hall or writing a letter. For individuals who choose to contact the Kingdom Hall directly, be polite but firm, do not allow them to visit you at your home to discuss the matter, be cautious and aware. They will often try to use your call as an opening to start a dialogue. Remember that the Jehovah's Witnesses, though nice people, use persuisive mind control tactics and they believe it is their god-given-duty to convert you.

About the Campaign

This campaign will help bring the Do Not Call list to the attention of the public. And while a home owner/resident can certainly call in on their own, ex JWs and concerned citizens everywhere can help their community by gathering the addresses of their neighbors who do not wished to be called on by Jehovah's Witnesses.

The Do Not Call Campaign originally took place in the UK, so JWR cannot take credit for this. You may have heard of it before but if not, here's how you can take action...Do Not Call Form

Help your neighborhood and community by volunteering to assemble a 'Do Not Call' list.

The idea is simple, visit your neighbors and ask them if they'd like their address to be added to the Jehovah's Witnesses 'Do Not Call List'. Explain to them that Jehovah's Witnesses do not approach homes on this list. After you have collected several names, mail the original forms to the local kingdom hall and a copy to the Watchtower headquarters in NY.

It is important to indicate that you are not one of Jehovah's Witnesses but that you are a concerned, private citizen who is volunteering to forward this information on their behalf.

Though it may be difficult for ex JWs to go back and knock on peoples' doors, if there is any reason to do so, this may just be it. It might be the last unsoliced knock on their door they ever receive. Alternatively, you could create little flyers and leave them in mailboxes, etc. If you have any variations of this idea, please share them with us so that we can help make this campaign a success!

Is this campaign vindictive? Absolutely not!

The purpose of the campaign is:

1) To help prevent innocent people from being exposed to the mind control tactics of the Watchtower Organization;

2) To help prevent people from being indoctrinated into a cult organization that endangers its members lives by restricting access to life saving blood transfusions for adults as well as minor children;

3) To help prevent vulnerable children from being exposed to known sex offenders who are sheltered by the organization.

Who Can Participate? Concerned Citizens Everywhere!

This campaign is for everyone, everywhere. This is not just for former or ex members but is open for all concerned individuals to help make a difference in preventing innocent people from being drawn in and trapped in this dangerous cult.

Is the Watchtower Really a Cult? I a word, Yes.

Jehovah's Witnesses employ many trademark mind control tactics to recruit new members and to keep members from leaving. The International Cultic Studies Association (www.icsahome.com); The Rick Ross Institute for the Study of Destructive Cults (www.rickross.com) and; Steven Hassan's Freedom of Mind Resource Center (www.freedomofmind.com), all list the Jehovah's Witness Organization as a dangerous and destructive cult.
