Moxie is the founder of JehovahsWitnessRecovery.com, commonly known as JWR. She launched the site in August of 2008 and since then has worked diligently to develop new ways to accomplish the site's mission of "promoting positive healing and recovery for former Jehovah's Witnesses." She is busy working on several projects to provide more information and resources to the exJW community at large and works with several other exJW sites to improve their visibility and reach on the web. She also has a blog called Conversations with an ex Jehovah's Witness.
Moxie is very passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of former Jehovah's Witnesses and raising the general public's awareness of the dangerous policies of the Watchtower organization.
She was raised as a Jehovah's Witness in British Columbia, Canada and has been disfellowshipped and shunned for 10 years.
Rifter has been a member of the JWR Administration team since its founding in August of 2008. As an IT Professional, he brings a wealth of technical experience and knowledge to the team and works to ensure the integrity and security of the JWR family of sites. He is also an active moderator and poster on the JWR forum.
Rifter is known for his well researched and well presented posts and articles. He has a passion for knowledge and science, and is constantly reading and researching to stay well informed.
Rifter was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, and began to privately fade from the organization in 2005 after a period of intense study and research into Watchtower theology and history -- originally intended to strengthen his faith in the religion -- had unraveled many threads of erroneous teachings in the faith of his upbringing. No longer wishing to be known as a Jehovah's Witness, in early 2009 he formally disassociated himself from The Watchtower.
In addition to JWR, Rifter volunteers his time to contribute to several social intiatives assisting ex-cult members, and continues to raise public awareness regarding The Watchtower and other high-control organizations.
Borgia is a former Jehovah's Witness who has been an active member of the JWR Forum since August of 2008. He joined the moderator team in April of 2009 and shows a great deal of compassion and support to the forum members.
