She launched the site in August of 2008 and since then has worked diligently to develop new ways to accomplish the site's mission of "promoting positive healing and recovery for former Jehovah's Witnesses." She also has a blog called Conversations with an ex Jehovah's Witness.
Moxie is very passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of former Jehovah's Witnesses and raising the general public's awareness of the dangerous policies of the Watchtower organization.
She was raised as a Jehovah's Witness in British Columbia, Canada and has been disfellowshipped and shunned for 10 years.

Awakened at Gilead is graduate of the Watchtower Bible School of Gilead and a former missionary. During his time in Gilead school, his indepth studies led to some questions. He discovered significant inconsistencies between the Bible and Watchtower doctrine. These findings led to serious doubts and questions. After coming to grips with the fact the the Watchtower does not teach the truth, A@G promptly informed the elders that he no longer believed in the Governing Body's authority nor trusted their chronology. Although willing to meet with the elders to discuss his concerns, the elders sneakily announced that he had dissasociated himself, immediately severing ties with friends and family he had known his entire life. A@Gwrote a 6 page appeal letter disagreeing with the elder's unilateral decision to announce that he was no longer a JW, but the society responded in a terse 3 paragraph letter that did not address any of his concerns that they agreed with the elders and that he must repent..
A@G has been an active moderator on JWR since it's beginning in August of 2008 and has been instrumental in helping many others find comfort during their exit process. He also produces some very informative and thoughtful videos on YouTube. You can view his video channel at: www.youtube.com/ExGileadMissionary
